We are glad to be able to say that your feedback was very positive, and here is a summary of the feedback:

Scores out of 10 (1=rubbish; 10 = fantastic):

• Was attending the data interpretation study day worthwhile? = 9.2
• Cardiology = 8.9
• ABG/PFTs = 8.8
• Neurology = 8.4
• Endocrine = 8.6
• Haematology/Biochemistry = 8.5
• Radiology = 9.0
• Small Group sessions = 9.5
• Question time = 8.5

Do you think the event should be repeated next year? = Yes 100%

What did you like best? (free text answer):

• Small groups = 33%
• X-rays = 23%
• ECGs = 21%
• ABGs = 5%
• All = 3%
• Other answers: conciseness, food, endocrine, exam-orientated nature, lecturers, learning systematic approach, exam hints, value for money, day running on time, extensive coverage, PFTs, neurology.

What could have been done better? (free text answer)

• More radiology = 14%
• Have handouts = 12%
• Other answers: more time on ECGs, more on LFTs/biochemistry, more small group work, lunch earlier in the day, more haematology, neurology small group, prioritise for final years, more relevant x-rays, put presentations on-line

Price issues:

• It's a very small price to pay I think
• The fee is minimal; how can you do it so cheaply!!!
• I think you should charge more - £10 is not enough - I think people would be prepared to pay more
• Would be willing to pay more
• Would pay more if had handouts and knew about food being provided
• Well worth £10
• Great value for money
• Well worth it

• Very cheap for what you get
• I would certainly pay more

Suggestions for improvements:

• ?Run over 2 days in future
• Restrict to final years
• Please give us other events as well
• ?Allow more students to attend
• Would be great for introduction to investigations for 3rd year students.
• Some areas a little basic, but basics is good!
• Run the event twice so more people get to come
• Repeat more often than once year
• Can you make it 2 days?

Other comments:

• No pressure, relaxed atmosphere, while being really beneficial
• This shows how teaching could be done
• Would be good to have one for 4th years
• Really teaches you the core knowledge you don't get taught properly at med school. A life saver.
